Friday the 13th is unlucky for some but certainly not for Gold Coast Crime Stoppers.

Today Gold Coast Crime Stoppers Representative Allan Williams was handed the keys to a brand new Toyota Utility that was donated to Gold Coast Crime Stoppers by Grand Motors Toyota located at 265 Ferry Road, Southport.

A big thank you to Tim and Katherine Unwin for this generous donation. Not only did they donate a vehicle, they also kindly threw in some extras which was very unexpected and most certainly much appreciated.

The utility will be an invaluable asset to both Gold Coast Crime Stoppers and the District Crime Prevention Unit whose Volunteers in Policing will also make use of this vehicle.

So what is Crime Stoppers I hear you ask?

Crime Stoppers provides a telephone hotline and website for members of the community to provide anonymous information about criminal activity.  This information is electronically sent to the police establishment nearest to where the crime is occurring for investigation.

  • The caller need not give their name. Remaining anonymous allows them to overcome any fear of involvement or retaliation.
  • Calls are not recorded or taped. Callers are not identified in any way.
  • Callers are allocated a code number:
    • To provide further information
    • To check on the progress of the investigation
    • To collect the reward.

Crime Stoppers can be contacted on ph: 1800 333 000 or via www.crimestoppersqld.com.au.

Anyone with information which could assist with this matter should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au 24hrs a day.

Crime Stoppers is a registered charity and community volunteer organisation working in partnership with the Queensland Police Service.

For all non-urgent police reporting or general police inquiries contact Policelink on 131 444 or Policelink.qld.gov.au 24hrs a day.
