Police are investigating following the attempted armed robbery of a service station in Ashmore early this morning.
Around 1.00am a man armed with a knife and flammable torch entered the service station on Cotlew Street and demanded money from the male attendant.
The attendant took refuge in an office and the man fled the scene on foot.
The attendant was not injured during the incident.
Investigations are continuing.
