A 38-year-old Manly West man has died in a single vehicle traffic crash at Gaven overnight.
At 6pm, initial information suggests a vehicle travelling northbound on the M1 left the motorway, drove onto the grass shoulder and collided with a tree.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was transported to the Gold Coast Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
