Police have charged a man and woman following a number of alleged offences occurring at the Gold Coast today.
Police will allege that a 24-year-old Nerang man and a 19-year-old Springwood woman stole a car from Mermaid Waters, even date.
This afternoon, both the man and woman drove the car at different times and attempted to evade police through a number of Gold Coast suburbs.
PolAir maintained observations on the car and the pair were arrested at Palm Beach after alighting from the car and running through residential properties.
The man is charged with enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a vehicle and driving whilst disqualified.
The woman is charged with two counts of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, unlawful use of motor vehicle, dangerous operation of vehicle, stealing, fail to stop, drive motor vehicle without a driver licence, possession of knife in public place and possessing restricted item (laser pointer).
Both are appearing in the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.
