In the Gold Coast District, there have been notable comments made through out the general public in regards to the high quantity of registration plates stolen from vehicles. Some of these stolen plates are being used to evade police identification and detection during the omission of further crimes such as stealing and robbery offences.
As part of our police Crime Prevention Initiative, we are offering to supply and fit, free of charge, one way screws to secure registration plates to your vehicle.
If fitted correctly, this unique screw design is tamper proof, rendering the plate too difficult for would be offenders to remove – completely deterring the theft of that particular plate.
The theft of registration plates can be a costly and inconvenient excercise to vehicle owners. Stolen registration plates may be used in other illegal activities which could result in the registered owner recieving infringement notices.
