The Major and Organised Crime Squad’s Firearms Team based on the Gold Coast yesterday arrested and charged a member of the Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) with weapons and drug offences.
A search warrant was executed on a Biggera Waters residence yesterday where it is alleged a quantity of drugs including amphetamines and illegal steroids were located.
It will also be alleged that this search warrant was a result of investigations conducted after police recovered a loaded handgun and further drugs from another residence at Oxenford on May 16, 2013.
A 26-year-old Oxenford man has been charged with four counts of possession of a dangerous drug, one count of possess Category H weapon and possess explosives (ammunition).
He is due to face Southport Magistrates Court today.
