Police are currently at the scene of a serious traffic incident on the Gold Coast.
Around 12.40pm police were notified that a man had been struck by a vehicle on the Gold Coast Highway at Surfers Paradise.
The man has been taken to the Gold Coast Hospital with head injuries and is in a serious condition.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area as there is a lot of traffic congestion.
Investigations into the incident are continuing.
