A jogger running along Shortcut Road, Woongoolba located a hole in the road that if undetected could have caused a serious vehicle incident.
Staff from Rocky Point Sugar Mill contacted police and upon arrival police observed a hole that depicted space under the tarseal for at least a couple of metres.
The road was blocked off for a couple of days while Gold Coast City Council Roads and Drainage Unit repaired the road. The road is now open for business.
