Due to a number of incidents this month, police from the Norfolk Village Beat are urging residents to check the expiry dates on their vehicle registration and drivers licence.
If drivers are caught with expired vehicle registration or expired drivers licences, penalties will not only include a Court notice but also vehicle immobilisation and/or impoundment. Drivers could lose their vehicles for up to 90 days with a worst case scenario of it being forfeited to the state.
If you discover that your vehicle registration or drivers licence have expired then contact Queensland Transport immediately to have the matter rectified.
