Update 2: Third man charged over echidna theft, Currumbin

A third man has been charged in relation to the theft of Piggie the echidna from an enclosure at a Currumbin animal sanctuary on Saturday, August 1.

Piggie was recovered safe and well Monday evening after she was left under a fence at the sanctuary.

A 20-year-old Surfers Paradise man has been charged with enter premises with intent and animal cruelty in relation to the stealing of the echinda. He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on August 13.
