Palm Beach Police Volunteers in Policing (VIPs) will be attending the Pavillions on 5th in Palm Beach to highlight Road Safety Week.
The display will be promoting awareness of the Fatal 5, which affect all road users from pedestrians, cyclists and motorists. Monday, the focus was on ‘inattention’ offences such as eating while driving, or using a mobile phone.
Tuesday, the focus will shift to speed offences, followed by fatigue, share the road and impaired driving. Volunteers will be offering information on how to keep yourself safe on our roads. There has been some recent accidents relating to cyclists and motorists in the area giving us cause to highlight the FATAL 5. Other displays are planned for the area in the coming week so stay tuned.
