Dismissal of Police Officer in South Eastern Region

A Senior Constable from the South Eastern Region has been dismissed from the Queensland Police Service as a result of disciplinary proceedings conducted by Deputy Commissioner Gollschewski.

The officer, a 41 year-old man was the subject of a disciplinary hearing where allegations of serious misconduct were found to be substantiated. The conduct included:
• committing acts of domestic violence;
• making abusive and threatening telephone calls;
• accessing confidential information; and
• failing to treat members of the community with respect and dignity.

In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces disciplinary processes.
