Police are investigating after the attempted armed robbery of a man in Molendinar this afternoon.
Around 5.45pm, a 52-year-old Ashmore man was standing by his vehicle in a car park on Harper Street when he was approached by two other men.
The men entered the parked car and attempted to drive off with it, but were interrupted by the 52-year-old.
One of the men then got out of the car and threatened the vehicle owner with a metal pole.
Both offenders then fled the scene in another vehicle.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
