Two people are assisting police following an incident in Miami this morning where a man was allegedly assaulted and a police car damaged.
At around 7:30am police were patrolling on Bardon Avenue when they located a man who advised he had been assaulted.
Police investigating this matter attempted to intercept a vehicle that had left the scene. The vehicle stopped briefly before allegedly reversing into the front of the police vehicle on Oak Avenue before driving away.
Officers managed to detain a man who had been a passenger in the vehicle before the car drove off.
Police located the vehicle a short time later in a nearby street, taking the female into custody. The vehicle located a short time later close by.
The victim of the alleged assault was taken to RobinaHospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Nobody was injured during the crash and the police car sustained minor damage.
Investigations are continuing into both incidents.
