Officers from the Jacobs Well Police Beat recommend those living on the water to get to know your neighbour.
After an unfortunate incident on a house boat at Jacobs Well last week, it was good to see that persons living on nearby boats were able to assist police due to knowing those living around them.
Just like living on land, observant neighbours can help reduce offences, such as trespassing, by reporting suspicious people and vessels to police. Knowing your neighbours can also be helpful if they ever require emergent assistance.
