Officers were earthed when plants were stolen from the garden outside the front of the Coomera Police Station.
There wasn’t a seed of doubt on whodunnit after officers witnessed the green thumb remove the plants.
The light-fingered actions resulted in the offender having to sprout for a $400 fine.
