Hit and run traffic crash involving stolen car, Oxenford

Police have released images of two men who may be able to assist with their inquiries in relation to a hit and run traffic crash involving stolen car at Oxenford on January 11.

Officers patrolling a Binstead Way business around 3.30pm located a stolen car in the carpark. Before police could approach the vehicle it has reversed at speed and collided with another car that was entering the carpark.

The stolen car, an orange Holden Commodore, sped off and was last seen heading north on Universal Street.

The driver of the stolen car was described as Caucasian, wearing beige shorts, a black t-shirt and baseball cap. The passenger was described as being of Asian or Maori appearance with tattoos on his right leg.

The second car contained two women, aged 19 and 29, who were not injured in the crash.

The stolen vehicle was found the next day at Advancetown and had been burnt out. It had been stolen from a Reedy Creek address between January 9 and 11.

Police have released images of two men who may be able to assist with the investigation, asking anyone who may have any information about this matter to contact Crimestoppers.
