Police are investigating an armed robbery in Southport this afternoon.
Around 12.30pm a man armed with a stick entered a Tweed Street store and demanded cash. The male shop attendant refused and retreated to the back of the shop. The offender then grabbed a sum of cash and fled the store on foot.
No one was physically injured as a result of the incident.
Police investigations are continuing.
