Three men wanted in relation to the robbery of a woman at Carrara on March 9 were arrested today at Sydney Airport.

The three were intercepted by Australian Border Force officers this morning and taken into custody by the Australian Federal Police.

The arrests follow investigations into an incident where a 63-year-old woman had her handbag stolen by a man at Eastlake Street around 4.10pm on Wednesday, March 9.

The woman sustained grazing, bruising and lacerations as a result of the robbery after she was dragged 15 to 20 metres while she struggled to keep a hold of her bag.

The Queensland Police Service will be seeking extradition of the three Chilean men aged 17, 22 and 40.
