Gold Coast detectives are appealing for information after a 32-year-old man was assaulted and stabbed at Labrador yesterday afternoon.
Preliminary information suggests the man was walking along Marine Parade around 3.50pm when two men got out of a light coloured Mitsubishi Pajero (similar to the one pictured) and began assaulting him.
The man broke free and fled along Marine Parade for a short distance before the men caught up with him. A further altercation occurred during which time the man sustained a stab wound to the back.
He was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is currently in a stable condition.
The men re-entered their vehicle, which was being driven by a third man, and fled the scene.
The male driver is described has having a light brown complexion and long black hair. He was last seen wearing a dark blue spray jacket.
The second man is described as Caucasian with short brown hair, approximately 182cm tall, wearing a light grey or white T shirt with a motif on the front, blue football style shorts, with tattoos on both arms and his right leg.
The third man is described as having a light brown complexion, short dark hair and was last seen wearing blue denim jeans and a dark T shirt.
Police have released a still image of three men who may be able to assist with their enquiries.
Investigations are continuing.
