It was a busy night in Surfer Paradise last night with a large crowd descending on the entertainment precinct for day six of schoolies on the Gold Coast.

Overnight there were 12 schoolies charged with 14 offences relating to drug and public nuisance offences with two schoolies given liquor infringement notices for drinking in a public place.

Also overnight 15 people were arrested on 21 charges which were not schoolies related and were mainly for public nuisance and drug offences. There were also five non schoolies who were given liquor infringement notices.

Police also issued two 18-year-old schoolies and two 16-year old boys with infringement notices for high risk activity after they were detected moving between balconies on the 22nd floor of a hotel at View Avenue at Surfers Paradise around 5am this morning. The group was also evicted from the premises.
