A 44-year-old Ormeau man has been charged following investigations into allegations of extortion and stalking.
At around 4pm on August 13, police will allege a 44-year-old man attended the address of a 33-year-old Warner man.
Police will further allege upon arrival at the address, the 44 year old man made threats towards the Warner man and acted aggressively.
It will further be alleged the man had made threats by phone over several weeks as well as allegedly making approximately 400 – 600 phone calls a day via a downloaded app to constantly contact the man.
Additionally, it will be alleged text messages were sent threatening the Warner man including allegations of a third party being used to harm him. Contact was further made to the man’s employer.
A 44-year-old Warner man has been charged with stalking, extortion, threats, and three counts of possessing dangerous drugs.
He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Investigations are continuing.
