Officers from Palm Beach and Elanora Police Beat attended the Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce meeting held at the Currumbin RSL, to hear from the City of Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate and The Honourable Mr Peter Beattie AC Chairman, Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation.

The Mayor discussed a range of subjects impacting the Southern Gold Coast, including the Light Rail proposal and the Commonwealth Games. Mr Beattie further outlined some events impacting the Southern Gold Coast and encouraged the chamber members to get involved in the consultation process.

Policing will be impacted by these events and it is important at a local level to be aware and engaged with our community at all levels. Course routes for the Gold Coast Road Course for cycling and time trials were released today.

Locals wishing to view the course routes can follow the link here to see the route proposals and see how they may be impacted or make plans to maximise their enjoyment and benefit from the events.

Inquires can also be made to the Gold Coast City council through email at cr@goldcoast.qld.gov.au  or by calling 1300 GOLDCOAST.
