Appeal for assistance to help locate a man, Gold Coast

Police have released an image of a man they believe will be able to assist their investigations into armed robberies at Labrador and Oxenford.

Yesterday, an armed man entered a Central Street business just before 10am. The man threatened a customer and staff before leaving the store with a sum of cash.

This morning, a man entered the Old Pacific Highway business just before 10.30am.

During the robbery the offender held the knife towards an elderly male customer while making demands for money from the post office employees.

The offender fled the scene in a maroon coloured car that was later located abandoned in Village Way at Oxenford.

Police are investigating possible links between the two incidents.

He is described as being approximately 184cms tall with a solid build.

Anyone who recognizes this man or knows of his whereabouts is urged not to approach him and call Triple-0 immediately.
