Police are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a service station at Pimpama in the early hours of this morning.
Around 2.35am a man drove an older model navy blue coloured Toyota Tarago to the Gainsborough Drive premises getting out of the vehicle armed with a large knife in one hand and carrying a black bag in the other.
He approached the locked front doors of the service station but the attendant did not open the doors.
The man then used the knife to stab at and he also kicked at the glass door several times. The glass shattered but remained intact not allowing the offender access to the premises.
On failing to gain entry the offender got back into the vehicle in drove off.
No one was injured in the incident.
At the time of the offence the offender was wearing a dark blue/ black hoodie, dark blue/black pants, black shoes and grey clothing over his face.
Police investigations are continuing.
