Police are investigating the alleged assault of an 18-year-old woman at a Surfers Paradise apartment complex early yesterday morning.
Preliminary information suggests around 12.20am a number of people were inside a unit located in a Ferny Avenue apartment complex when a disturbance involving two 18-year-old women occurred.
It will be alleged that an 18-year-old New South Wales woman sustained a laceration to her head after being struck by a ceramic mug.
The woman was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
An 18-year-old Flinders View woman is currently assisting police with their investigations.
