Police have charged an 18-year-old woman following investigations into the alleged assault of an 18-year-old woman in Surfers Paradise yesterday.
Around 12.20am, it will be alleged two women were involved in an altercation inside an apartment complex on Ferny Avenue when one of them was struck in the head with a ceramic mug.
An 18-year-old woman from New South Wales sustained a laceration to her head and was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
An 18-year-old Flinders View woman has been charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm and is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on December 12.
