Police were generally happy with the behaviour of the vast majority of school leavers on day six of schoolies on the Gold Coast.
Overnight there were 26 schoolies charged with 26 offences relating mainly to public nuisance and street offences with 42 schoolies given liquor infringement notices for drinking in a public place.
Also overnight 19 people were arrested on 26 charges which were not schoolies related and were mainly for public nuisance and drug offences. There were also six non schoolies who were given liquor infringement notices
Police were disappointed that yet another schoolie was last night arrested for balcony hopping at an Elkhorn Avenue apartment building.
It is alleged the 17-year-old Beaudesert man was seen moving between balconies on the 15th floor around 10.10pm.
He has been issued with a notice to appear at Southport Magistrates Court at a later date to face a charge of unregulated high risk activity.
Police are continuing to monitor social media sites for evidence of high risk behaviour and will take action if offenders are identified and able to be located.
