Police are investigating after a hotel bottleshop was robbed by a man armed with a handgun late last night.
Around 11.15pm a man parked a vehicle in the drive through of the Ron Penhaligon Way business before approaching the console operator, demanding money.
After obtaining cash the man then returned to the vehicle and drove away.
Just after midnight police were called to a vehicle on fire nearby at Great Southern Drive. Initial investigations indicate this vehicle may have been involved in the robbery.
The console operator, a 41-year-old Robina man, was not physically injured.
The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 158cm tall, of stocky build and brownish hair. He was wearing a grey hooded long sleeved jumper, jeans, gloves and had a black cloth over his nose and mouth.
