Officers from the Gold Coast Rapid Action Patrol arrested two men yesterday morning after allegedly discovering a large quantity of methamphetamines at Biggera Waters.
Around 9.40am yesterday, officers performing proactive patrols intercepted a vehicle on Brisbane Road for a traffic enquiry. It will be alleged that the passenger gave a false name.
Police then searched the vehicle and allegedly located a bag with a large quantity of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $11, 500.
A 40-year-old man from Coomera has been given a notice to appear on one count each of possession dangerous drugs (over schedule), possession of thing used in connection with a drug offence and possession of utensil.
He is due to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on October 17.
A 39-year-old man from Burleigh Heads has been given a notice to appear on one count each of possession of a dangerous drug, possession a thing used in connection with a drug offence and possession of a utensil.
He is due to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday October 29.
