Detectives from the Gold Coast Child Protection and Investigation Unit have charged a man over the alleged assault of a seven-month-old baby girl at a residence at Robina on July 11, 2018.
The baby sustained serious head injuries and was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital. A police investigation was commenced.
It is alleged the baby’s injuries are consistent with being shaken.
A 29-year-old man from Robina has been charged with grievous bodily harm.
He is due to face the Southport Magistrates Court on November 13, 2018.
