UPDATE: The vehicle was sighted at 5.20pm today (May 6) at Canungra, travelling at high speed, bearing plates stolen plates 463YBR.
Police are investigating the theft of a car that has since been involved in a number of offences including impersonating a police officer within the Gold Coast area in the past month.
A dark grey Subaru Impreza (pictured below) bearing Queensland registration plates 487WCM was stolen from an address on Eden View Drive at Reedy Creek on April 8.
The car has since been linked to several offences including the theft of two Queensland registration plates, 263YBR from a Worongary address and 959WTW from a Yatala address.
Around 3pm on April 16, the car was allegedly involved in impersonating a police officer on the Pacific Motorway, southbound near Elysium Drive at Carrara.
The driver of the car was allegedly wearing a Queensland Police Service baseball cap and driving alongside motorists instructing them to pull over, however police have not received any reports of drivers complying.
Between April 25 and May 5, the vehicle has been involved in at least six different dangerous driving offences throughout the Mudgeeraba and Gold Coast areas.
The vehicle was last sighted by police yesterday afternoon at around 3pm in the Mudgeeraba area with damage to the rear bumper and bearing stolen Queensland registration plates 959WTW.
Police are urging members of the public to contact police if they sight the car and not to approach it.
