On May 23,  Surfers Paradise Police Station Adopt-a-Cop Senior Constable Marc Tondeleir headed off to Surfers Paradise State Primary School to show his support both to the school and the Cancer Council.

The school’s P&C members had organised a fundraising event for the Cancer Council Australia’s Biggest Morning tea.

Senior Constable Marc Tondeleir has been a school based officer several years and has become a familiar face within the school.

However on May 23 there was a host of new faces that also showed their support, not only to the Cancer council but also to Surfers Paradise State Primary School.

The Cancer Council Australia hosts annually the Australia’s biggest morning tea to raise funds for cancer research.

This year Surfers Paradise State School had the pleasure of Mal Meninga attending and being a guest speaker at the function.

The morning tea was opened by the schools strings (violinists) and choir who kept the crowd entertained.

Other guests of the day also included John Paul Langbrook MP and Angie Bell MP.

The morning tea was a successful event that helped raise money for research and also a great way for community members to get together and show their support.
