This afternoon commencing at 4:30pm the QPS Livestream channel will allow you to view the first of many planned events to celebrate the 150 years of policing in Queensland.
Pre-Parade entertainment including a performance by the Queensland Police Pipes and Drums and Vintage Uniform Display will commence at 4.30pm.
The formal ceremony will commence at 5.00pm and will include a Parade of Uniformed Officers, Queensland Police Pipes and Drums, Mounted Unit, Dog Squad, QP150 vehicle, Fatal 5 vehicles and motorcycles commencing at 5.00pm.
A presentation of the Queensland Police Banner by Governor of Queensland, Her Excellency, Ms. Penelope Wensley, AC and the Presentation of Key to the City by Lord Mayor of Brisbane, The Right Honourable Councillor Graham Quirk is also form part of the first major Queensland Police Sesquicentenary event to be held in King George Square, Brisbane.
