A 52-year-old man has been charged with assault following an incident this afternoon in Coolangatta.
At around 1.20pm a man attended an address on Dutton Street, where it will be alleged that another man fired nails from a nail gun in his direction from inside a unit.
The man left the address without harm.
When police attended the scene a short while later and were able to apprehend the man without serious incident.
The 52-year-old Coolangatta man was charged with one count of assault and will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on May 19.
