Police have a 26-year-old man who had barricaded himself in a house at Palm Beach last night.
Around midday yesterday police were notified that the man, a sole occupant in the Palm Beach Avenue house, had barricaded himself inside.
The man was apprehended around 7.00pm and police will allege he was in possession of a weapon and a quantity of methamphetamine.
The man was charged with possession of a dangerous drug and possess shortened firearm and he is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court this morning.
