Stolen vehicle and evade police, Meadowbrook

Police have charged a 21-year-old man with 17 offences after officers intercepted a vehicle at Meadowbrook yesterday.

It will be alleged around 4pm officers tried to intercept a stolen vehicle on Burnside Road at Ormeau when it failed to stop.

PolAir tracked the vehicle north along the M1 and Logan Motorway to the Logan Hospital at Meadowbrook.

Police allege the 21-year-old abandoned the stolen vehicle at the hospital and entered a white utility which was followed and intercepted by police at Webb Road, Loganlea.

It will be further alleged the man had committed several burglary offences at residences in Brisbane, Logan and Gold Coast in the past two months.

A 21-year-old Eagleby man was charged with one count each of fail to stop, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possessing a drug utensil and entering premises with intent to commit an indictable offence; four counts of entering a premises and committing an indictable offence; and three counts each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, burglary and receiving tainted property.

He is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
