Police investigating the robbery of a woman and child at Southport on Monday have released a comfit image of a man that may be able to assist with their investigations.
Just after 12.45pm, a 19-year-old mother was walking with her child along Eugaree Street when they were approached by a man.
The man produced a knife before demanding money from the woman.
The woman handed him a sum of cash and the man fled the scene.
The man is described as being in his early 20’s, Caucasian in appearance, of thin build with strawberry blonde shoulder length hair. The man was wearing a dark hooded jumper (similar to that pictured), black long pants and black thongs.
No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.
Investigations are continuing.
