Detectives have charged a man after a protracted investigation into a large number of stealing and break and enter offences across South East Queensland.
Police executed a search warrant at a Logan business yesterday and seized a large amount of property and vehicles allegedly related to the offences.
A 63-year-old New South Wales man has been charged with a range of offences including 20 counts of stealing, 14 counts of enter premises with intent, 9 counts of receiving tainted property and two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
Police will allege the offences were committed across Brisbane, Logan and the Gold and Sunshine Coasts between June 2013 and September this year and included the alleged theft of fuel, electrical equipment, computers and vehicle registration plates.
He is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
The joint investigation included officers from the Sunshine Coast CIB’s Property Crime Taskforce, the Logan District’s Taskforce Scisco, the Gold Coast Rapid Action Patrol group and Polair.
