Police are investigating following the armed robbery of a restaurant at a shopping complex on Cotlew Street in Ashmore tonight.
Around 8.15pm, two staff members were leaving the restaurant to make deliveries when they were approached by a man who threatened them with a knife, demanding cash.
The staff members complied, and the man fled the scene on foot with a pouch containing the money.
He was last seen running through Ashmore Village park behind the shopping complex.
The Dog Squad and Pol Air 1 are assisting detectives in their investigation.
No one was physically harmed during the incident.
