Gold Coast, Robina and Mudgeeraba working together!
A 17-year-old Logan man was tactically intercepted through the controlled and combined efforts of Robina Traffic Branch, Mudgeeraba Police, Rapid Action Officers and the Gold Coast Helicopter Support Unit.
The man allegedly driving a stolen vehicle, was cordoned and prevented from continuous dangerous driving through the use of stinger tyre deflation devices after being surveilled by undercover police.
Allegedly, upon decamping from the disabled vehicle, the man went to ground in bushland behind and in the vicinity of a child care centre.
The police resources flooded the area and with many feet on the ground combined with the enhanced capability of the Helipcopter, the man was found cowering in scrub.
The location of this offender is a prime example of all Gold Coast resources working together in a coordinated response to detect and solve crime.
