Electric Shock, Nerang

Police are investigating after a man suffered an electric shock at Nerang Railway Station overnight.

Preliminary investigations suggest around 10.00pm, a 21-year-old man has scaled a security fence at the Railway Station at Nerang before climbing an electrical pole, during which he has suffered an electric shock, resulting in burns.

He has been transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition with burns to 50% of his body.

Investigations are continuing.
