Police have declared a crime scene at a Varsity Lakes home after officers were called to the Randwick Court address and found a woman unconscious and with serious head injuries.
Police received a triple zero call around 2.15pm and attended the address.
The woman, believed to be aged in her 30’s, has been transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with life threatening injuries.
A man, also aged in his 30’s, was located nearby and is currently assisting police with their investigations.
Gold Coast detectives, Scenes of Crime and Scientific officers are currently at the residence, and there is no further information available at this time.
