ACORN
Australian Cyber-crime Online Reporting System
ACORN is a new national policing initiative of the Commonwealth, State and Territory government that allows you to easily and securely report any instances of cyber-crime and it also offers advice to help you recognise and avoid becoming a victim of cyber-crime.
Cyber-crimes could include such things as, hacking, online scams through websites or emails, online fraud, online trading (such as eBay or gumtree) and identity theft to name a few.
ACORN has been developed in order to ensure that the appropriate agency within Australia receives your information. You no longer have to attend your local police station to report instances of cyber-crime.
To assist the Queensland Police Service in gaining a national picture of the cyber-crime issue and to help prevent and disrupt future criminal activity, report any instances of cyber-crime to: www.acorn.gov.au
