Police at the Broadwater Police Beat would like to remind Hope Island residents of the importance of knowing who you are letting into your gated community.
Security Manager Darren Bell of Hope Island Security has told Police Beat officers that time and time again residents are turning a blind eye to people entering Hope Island complexes. Security monitors show vehicles entering following other vehicles into the complexes that have no association to the houses within the gated communities. It is advised to choose your guests wisely.
With this in mind, police would urge community members to report any suspicious vehicles/persons entering or within the hope Island gated community.
It is a reminder to the residents of Hope Island to ensure that properties are locked and secure both front and back doors whether you are at home or not, especially those homes located on the waterfronts.
Broadwater Police Beat Officers ask that you help them help you.
