On Thursday 19 February 2015 Police from Coomera, Gold Coast Rapid Action and Patrols, Police Beats, Coomera Road Policing Unit, Railway Squad, Dog Squad and Task Force Latro North conducted various search warrants on addresses in the Coomera area. The operation commenced at 7am and ran through to the late evening. The operation resulted in 33 offenders charged with 85 offences ranging from warrant, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, Trafficking, supply and possession of dangerous drugs, unlawful possession of weapons, assault and various traffic offence charges. Some 68 traffic infringement notices were also issued during the day.
Sgt Wayne CLAYTON, Operations Co-ordinator said: “The operation engaged a diverse policing response. Strategies included the targeting of wanted property and high risk offenders, arrest warrants, bail & curfew visitations, targeted surveillance, intelligence & crime stopper files and saturation patrols of prevalent localities were used. I acknowledge the assistance from our various policing teams and pass on my thanks for their commitment & drive to combatting the issue of offences and wanted people within the Northern Patrol Group.”

The combined good work of Police from various units and sections has seen great results which will go a long way in reducing and stopping crime in the Northern Gold Coast area”, Acting Senior Sergeant Nev STRETTON of Coomera Police Station said. “”Of particular note is one offender charged with over 27 counts of supply dangerous drug along with drug trafficking.”
Further operations of a like nature will be planned in the coming months for Coomera Police Division, Northern Patrol Group.
