So why leave your wallet?
This has your debit and credit cards in it.
On February 14, parked cars at a complex on Pacific Pines Boulevard were targeted and wallets and handbags stolen.
Over the weekend of February 21, the same happened at Howland Circuit and again wallets and other property were stolen.
Last night, February 23, a complex on Archipelago Street was targeted and handbags containing wallets were stolen. These kind of offences are avoidable.
Please do not leave property in your cars. Just because your car is parked outside your house/unit and just because you live in a “gated complex” does not mean your car is necessarily secure.
The best place for your handbag and wallet is with you, not left in your car overnight. Remember wallets don’t only contain cards and licences but sometime have sentimental items as well.
If your wallet or handbag is stolen, your chances of having those items returned is negligible and you still have to run around and get your cards and licences replaced.
If you see a suspicious person(s) in your complex/street don’t hesitate to contact police.
