Gold Coast detectives are investigating following a suspected ‘drink spiking’ incident which occured in Coolangatta at the weekend.
Early Saturday morning, police called paramadics after they located an unconcious woman on Marine Parade.
It is believed that the woman who had been drinking at a bar had her drink ‘spiked’.
The woman was transported to the Tweed Heads Hospital.
Police would like to remind people to be careful about accepting drinks from any person that they do not trust.
Investigations are continuing.
