Police this afternoon have charged a man following the assault of a parking officer yesterday afternoon in Southport.
Around 2pm police will allege that the man assaulted a 59-year-old parking officer during the performance of his duties.
A 19-year-old man from Southport has been charge with one count of serious assault of a public officer performing a function. The man is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on April 17.
