Police will allege the Ern Harley Drive address is the club house for the Gold Coast Chapter of the Hells Angels Criminal Gang. The premises, disguised as a business, contained a bar, entertainment equipment and Hells Angels paraphernalia.

Police will allege during the execution of a search warrant at the Ern Harley Drive premises they located and seized approximately 21grams of Methyl-amphetamines (ICE), 102 ecstasy tablets and a small quantity of cocaine. The street value of the drugs seized is approximately $15,000.00.

Police will allege during the execution of a search warrant at the Great Hall Drive, Mermaid Beach premises they located and seized a quantity of dangerous drugs (steroids).

As a result of last night’s action, a 41 year man, a patched member of the Gold Coast Chapter of the Hells Angels was arrested and charged with four counts of possession of a dangerous drug.

A second man, 24, a patched member of the Gold Coast Chapter of the Hells Angels was issued with a notice to appear for two counts of unlicensed driving.

Detective Inspector Brendan Smith of Taskforce Maxima stated, “Last night’s efforts saw the location of what we are alleging to be dangerous drugs stored in the gang’s club house.”

“They need to understand unlawful behaviour will not be tolerated and if they continue to offend we will be back.”

“The links between “ICE” and violence and property crime are well known, as such and we will continue to target those involved in its manufacture, distribution and use.”

It is expected the first man will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.
